Our Story

The Exchange Family Church was born out of a deep conviction to preach Christ and the Gospel of Grace in its purest form. Under the leadership of Rev. Nana Yaw Tweneboa-Kodua, XFC has grown from a small fellowship into a vibrant, Word-based New Testament church with multiple assemblies across Accra, Ghana.

Our name, "The Exchange," is drawn from the heart of the Gospel message found in 2 Corinthians 5:21: "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." This divine exchange, where Jesus took our place, is the foundation of everything we believe and teach.

From our main assembly in Awoshie to our growing community in Pigfarm, we are a family united by grace. We believe that every believer is called to ministry, and our church is committed to equipping, empowering, and sending out men and women who will change their world through the love of God.

The Beginning

A Vision for Grace

The Exchange Family Church was founded by Rev. Nana Yaw Tweneboa-Kodua with a burning passion to preach the unadulterated Gospel of Grace. Starting as a small fellowship of believers, the vision was clear: to build a Word-based church that would transform lives.

Awoshie Assembly

Establishing Our Home

The church established its main assembly in Awoshie, Accra, creating a home for believers to gather, worship, and grow. Sunday services at 8:00 AM became the heartbeat of the community, drawing families from across the city.

Growing in Grace

Ministry Expansion

As the church grew, so did its ministries. Bible study groups, prayer meetings, youth ministry, and family programmes were launched, equipping believers for every area of life and building a strong foundation for the church family.

Pigfarm Assembly

Reaching New Communities

Responding to God's leading, XFC planted a second assembly in Pigfarm, Accra, bringing the Gospel of Grace to a new community. This expansion reflected the church's commitment to reaching all of Accra with the love of Christ.

Online Presence

Going Digital

The church embraced digital ministry through its YouTube channel and social media platforms, making sermons and teaching accessible to a wider audience beyond the walls of the physical church. Word-based content now reaches believers across Ghana and the world.

The Future

Continuing the Mission

The Exchange Family Church continues to grow, with plans to plant more assemblies, deepen its community impact, and raise a generation of believers who carry the message of grace to the nations.

Our Mission

To preach Christ and the Gospel of Grace, equipping believers for the work of ministry and spreading the unconditional love of God throughout Accra, Ghana, and beyond.

We do this through Sunday worship services, weekly Bible studies, prayer meetings, community outreach, and intentional discipleship that helps every member grow in their understanding of God's grace and their calling.

Our Vision

To build a community of believers across Accra and beyond who are rooted in God's Word, walking in grace, and reaching their world with the Gospel.

We envision a church where every member discovers their God-given purpose, is equipped for ministry, and becomes a vessel of transformation in their families, workplaces, and communities across Ghana and the nations.

What We Believe

At the core of our faith is the finished work of Jesus Christ. We believe that through the cross, God made a complete and final exchange, taking our sin, shame, and sickness, and giving us His righteousness, acceptance, and wholeness.

We are a Word-based church, meaning that every message, every teaching, and every ministry activity is rooted firmly in Scripture. We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and the ultimate authority for faith and practice.

We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit working in and through every believer, and we celebrate the gifts of the Spirit as essential to the life of the church and the advancement of God's kingdom on earth.
